Every year sales happen, there's the summer sales, the winter sales etc. But one everyone looks forward to is the Boxing Day sale. Why? I'll never know. Shoppers headed out int ehr millions this Christmas most starting at 4am and getting the best bargains they could. I'll also never understand why consumers travel up and down the country just for sales when there's such a thing called online shopping. Isn't Christmas meant for family?

Recently however a petition has been created by Prime Minister Theresa May to stop shops opening on Boxing Day. Nowadays most School leavers and students work in retail as a part time job to save up for cars etc, in retail it's non negotiable whether they work Boxing Day or not so most don't even really enjoy the holiday.

I asked a local sales assistant who works on Boxing Day how she feels about the working day; she states "I don't particularly like working it because it's Christmas and I'd rather be spending time with my family plus the hours are horrible you either have to wake up when it's still night-time or work the whole day away and the customers are rude and it's too busy."

That's also the problem with such a busy sale; the fact that because everyone's trying to get the best they can tensions are high and anger is taken out on the staff which causes the whole atmosphere to become ruined.

Let us know what you think of Boxing Day sales.
