2016 has now come to an end, and it is time to reflect to the things that you have accomplished.  But have you stuck to any of your resolutions? If your contemplating your cancelled gym membership or still gripping onto the chocolate bar you've sworn off. We question the purpose of New Years resolutions.

On average are resolutions are broken within the first month of January with only less than 10% managing to keep them.

But why are we so unsuccessful in keeping our resolution?  Here are some ways to keep your resolutions till the end of 2017:

1) Strength in numbers, going alone can be difficult as it can lead you to be unmotivated and cancelling your gym membership within the first month. Surrounding yourself with more positive people can inspire you to fulfil your resolutions.

2)The perfect plan, those who have a plan are more likely to stick to it and it's easier to see what needs to be done. But mini goals can also be set so you have a sense of accomplishment throughout the year.

3) Is it the right time, sometimes setting a resolution at this time can put you under unnecessary pressure and lead to early defeat. But the new year shouldn't be a reason to start a new but every new day should.

Hopefully 2017 will finally be a new you.
