Recently, it has been very cold around the Buckinghamshire area, with the weather ranging from 10°C to -4°C. It even snowed in areas such as, Iver, Chalfonts St Peter and Uxbridge last week, however the snow did not settle for long. The roads were clear and there was no trouble getting into work and school.

The nights are the coldest which results in a lot of ice on roads and cars in the morning. Obviously, the majority have to drive into work or school in the mornings, so initally we start the engine in our cars to heat it up and allow the ice to defrost. However, the police have warned to not to do this as six cars have been robbed due to people leaving them on in the cold. This warning has been given by The Central Motorway Police Group.

This is dangerous and it is actually illegal to start the car engine and leaving the car alone. The police cannot be working on cases of missing cars every single day, so please do not start your car engines and leave them unattended.
