Fine dinning comes to Chalfont St. Peter!

With the long waited return of "The Jolly Farmer" on Gold Hill Common. The new Gastropub has strolled into the small village of Chalfont St.Peter, bringing with it charming memories of the much loved "Jolly Farmer" which was situated there, before being refurbished and renamed "The Village Hall" on the 25th November 2003 for approximately 15 years.

Who knew the importance a name can have to a pub? As locals warmly welcomed the return of their historic name, taking to the "Chalfont St. Peter forum" expressing views on how "pub names are not just part of their locality but also part of our cultural heritage" the much-loved pub has been at the same site since as early as 1895 and spent most of its life as "the Jolly Farmers" before being taken over in the early 2000's.

The world renowned Michelin Star chef Raymond Blanc is the man behind the rebirth. The White Brasserie Gastro pub reopened to the public after many renovation on the 24th October of this year. But this is not his first local restaurant; White Brasserie is a sister company to Brasserie Blanc, they currently have 12 outlets, with the Chalfont St Peter branch being the newest, it also follows the tradition of all of the rest of the White Brasserie restaurants by having a stereotypical British pub names, such as The White Bear in Ruislip.

But most importantly; the food. All of The White Brasserie pubs and restaurants pride themselves on their hearty meals "using the freshest ingredients, all cooked from scratch"  with a A La Carte menu full of "British favourites alongside classic French brasserie fare".

Its welcomed addition to our little village so don’t miss out on grabbing your plate of history
