The Queen, Elizabeth II was 90 this month, 21st April after 63 years of reign on the British throne. The birthday celebrations have been out poured throughout the nation, but is this an over established cover up for the Queen being a has-been ?

I interviewed Royalist Lorraine Zenonos about the on going celebrations of the Queen's birthday, it's an obvious achievement that the woman herself has reached a ripe age of 90 but do you think all the fuss that's being made of it is needed ? Ms Zenonos thinks so, "yes, because of her long reign, all the people of that generation see the Queen as a pinicle of their own history which brought a lot of pain, poverty and diseases on their own loved ones because of the war". So it is clear that the Queen is a woman with a strong past, but is this reputation of her history still relevant today ? In particular, the younger generation ? Ms Zenonos seemed to think so but "she is not relevant with everyone... Perhaps within schools children celebrate the Queens birthday and monarchy" but it is no secret that children of an older age don't share the same respect as mature adults. Lastly, within looking to the future it is apparent that we will eventually have to have a change of monarch, but who will this be? And is there a possibility there may not be a royal family at all? "Yes of course there will be a monarchy, I think it will be pass down to Charles then for William and Kate to become King and Queen". So perhaps in the future when a new monarch is reigning the populations opinion will change in every generation. But for now, with Queen Elizabeth succeeding 90 it is an inevitable success that she is potentially the most powerful monarch in the world and for that, she should surely enjoy her birthday celebrations and all the pallava that comes with it!
