New schools magazine takes local community by storm
The school Sion Manning is well-known for its diverse activities; From tennis training to dance
competitions to archery tournaments the school supports its students in whatever their
interested in. However, after the schools first magazine, Devu, flunked the institute decided that
perhaps a magazine wasn't the best idea.
That was until Miss Cox, one of the school teachers, decided to gather a group of young girls to
restart the idea. The new magazine is named Hera due to the fact that it incorporates both the
words 'her' and 'era' and, obviously, the name of the Greek Goddess.
With a team of dedicated students, this magazine is bound to be a success. It not only includes
information about important topics (such as wars and well-being articles) it includes information
that all teenagers can enjoy (such as movie, music, book and game reviews).
To appeal to the current generation the magazine features sassy and hip comments and even
plays with the school itself, featuring a section dedicated to rating teachers outfits.
One of the students working on the magazine, Milena, told me that she would describe the
magazine as "A fun opportunity; And the great thing about it is that you're free to express
yourself and aren't constricted." Another student, Bruna Rosa, described it has "Your daily dose of
sarcasm and world news. Between reviews, games and health/makeup tips, there's bound to be
something for everyone."
In conclusion, this magazine is not only a must for all the student and community surrounding
the school, but to any teen interested in it.
