The Maplin located in Romford, that had recently opened a few months ago, is now already clearing out all stocks, ready to close down. This is tragic news for some local residents, as they found the shop Maplin very “helpul” and “useful”.
Maplin was a easily accessible store for everyone living nearby. The reason for closure is that it was not as popular amongst the public as expected. Not many products were selling, therefore the store was making no big profit out of the business, causing a decision for it to close down to be made.
Mr. Davis said : “ I am truly devestated to hear this news, this store was truly a exquisite, with amazing prices and deals.
Many are protesting against the idea of the store closing down as it had become the heart and soul of the area in such a short period of time.
Mrs. Akhter said: “ I am heartbroken to hear this news, although there are many branches of Maplin, there was not one as local to me as this one was.
Due to the sudden closing down of Maplin all the stock has been reduced in price which is suddenly attracting a huge ammount of people to the store. Many items have been reduced such as headphones, televisions, CCTV cameras and a lot more. Most things are reduced up to 75% and these amazing deals are now finally bringing a lot of customers to Maplin, therefore the stock is finishing off sooner, which is good news but also devestating as Maplin wont be amongst us in Romford anymore.
