If you have been in Ilford in the past 6 months, you will have noticed a dark space under construction with the sign “COMING SOON” written on it for quite a long time. And if you are someone who loves exploring and coming across little niche like places filled with wondrous, tasteful adventures, then it can be said that your patience level has reached an all time peak.
However, soon is finally here! Pie Factory finally opened to the public towards the start of 2018 and what a way to ring in the New Year! Situated in the heart of Ilford, near the Exchange, the Pie Factory is sure to become a hotspot amongst the youth, not only for its warm, hearty meals of sizeable portions but also because of its homey ambiance.
The restaurant itself is humble with around 15 tables inside the room, including the elongated booth running near the wall. After walking in, the friendly staffs greet the customer with a smile and show them to their preferred table. After establishing which table one would like to be seated at, the menu is then seized. True to its name, the menu mainly consists of a large selection of pies, including spinach and feta (a personal favourite) and an all round classic, chicken and mushroom. However, it also offers traditional British dishes like bangers and mash. Furthermore, a kids’ menu is also provided for their younger customers.
In addition, the Pie Factory offers large portions with at an affordable price, leaving you with a meal that satisfies both your hunger and your wallet. But most importantly, it provides a warm meal that satisfies your heart.
