Bancroft’s School’s Karting Team has once again raced through to the Regional Final of the British Schools Karting Championships.

For the past few years Bancroft’s School have entered teams into the BSKC and last year finished a very respectable 15th in the national finals held in Northamptonshire.

Earlier this month the A & B team progressed through to the South-East regional final with flying colours. Qualification took place at TeamSport Karting in Acton earlier this month. Four Bancroft’s teams were entered in total and after a great deal of planning and excellent driving they wiped out the competition, finishing first, second, third and fourth respectively, qualifying for the competition’s regional final at Buckmore Park in April. This emphatic victory bodes well for the rest of the competition and team captain Amir Sampat is confident of further success this time round:

“I am thrilled to have qualified for the Regional Finals of the British Schools Karting Championship with our A & B team. Having started up our school karting team three years ago, it has been great to see the progress of the team’s young enthusiastic racers through the years. Having gone into this year’s competition with the strongest team to date we hope to repeat last year’s success at the Regional Final and book our place in the National Final.”

Having founded the school’s go karting team in 2015, this year’s competition will be Sampat’s final for the school. However, with young talent showing excellent potential, the future of Bancroft’s Karting is bright.

The team is on the look out for sponsorship. For further information contact James.Foley@bancrofts.org.
