Three days ago, on the 22nd of January, Wireless, a large London festival taking place in Finsbury park this summer (July 6th-8th), finally announced its line-up of artists after an incredibly anticipated wait. Causing the local teenagers to explode with excitement to see their favorite musicians perform live not far from their own house. Due this close proximity and both excellent headline and undercard acts, the younger generation of Epping forest purchased the tickets without hesitation. Despite the high expenses, especially if appearing all three days of the weekend, starting Friday and ending Sunday, the tickets for all combination of days are at this point in time are totally sold out on the Wireless website, with stragglers being sold for extortionate prices on ticket sites such as Stub-Hub and even eBay.

However, some believe that the £170 starting price for all three days was worth the money as on all three days you have some of the biggest and best artists from around the world, not just the UK, appearing perhaps for the one and only time in London. On Friday the headlining acts start with J Cole, one of the best lyrical rappers of this generation, alongside him Post Malone who was the fastest rising stars with the release of ‘White Iverson’, which was one of the biggest hits of the year as well as his highly rated album ‘Stoney’ propelling him musical stardom. The following day, “The King of Grime” Stormzy will be headlining as well as the Migos on the undercard. Both the acts having had great years, with Stormzy releasing his ‘Gang signs and prayers’ in 2017 and the Migos releasing ‘Culture’ early last year with ‘Culture II’ set for release on the 26th of January. Finally, Sunday will have both ‘Giggs’ arguably the biggest UK rapper as special guest, with ‘DJ Khaled and Friends’ headlining the day. Not to mention massive undercard acts such as ‘Cardi B’ and ‘Lil Uzi Vert’ to accompany the headliners.

Despite the pricing, a huge musical event with excellent proximity, and even better artists with more to be announced by Wireless has caused the local teens and young adults to seize the opportunity to see their favorite artists live, causing a frenzy of buying tickets to ensue. Allowing them to have this once in a lifetime opportunity.
