Grab your sticks! It’s time for Garba!

The girls of Woodford County High School are back with another charity gala; and this time it is to fight for female education. In honour of Camfed (Campaign for Female Education), there will be a charity garba on Thursday 8th of March in the main hall at Woodford County High School (WCHS) starting from 17:45 in the evening till 21:00.

Tickets prices are a standard £6.50 and will be sold on Tuesday 23rd of January and Wednesday 24th of January from 13:30 till 13:50 near the dining hall. All the proceedings will be donated to Camfed in order to raise money and awareness for the fight for female education. Tickets will be sold on a fist come first served basis as there is limited space. Tickets will also be restricted to a maximum of 3 per person in order for more people to be able to purchase it.

The evening is sure to be a success with live music arranged from Charul Bakhda and band. There will also be refreshments being sold throughout the evening in case anyone needs to reenergise themselves after vigorously dancing for a large part of the night. The dress code is optional and stated to be traditional South Asian dress in order to honour the festival of Garba. People are asked to bring their own Dandiya sticks as well as their friends and family. No experience is required to attend this event as it strives to be a fun night for all!
