Home alone is the funniest family adventure movie I’ve ever watched! This exciting movie has been nominated for Oscar Awards 6 times with another 10 wins! It is a universal film directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, with young Macaulay Culkin playing the mischievous eight year old boy, Kevin McCallister.
Kevin McCallister has been accidentally left at home during the Christmas holidays by his family. While they’re in Paris and Kevin is home alone, two burglars named Harry and Marv try to enter his home. This leads to Kevin letting out his inner craziness and setting up traps for them. He also manages to injure them and teach them a good lesson! In the end, Kevin did such a good job that he managed to get the burglars into prison. His family got home and they all spent the Christmas holidays together. Happy ending, right?
This movie is suitable for all age groups as it’s extremely funny and exciting! The best time to watch this is in the winter, preferably near Christmas but either way, everyone is guaranteed to enjoy it.
One of the main lines in this movie is “Kevin, you’re such a disease”. This is usually said by Jeff (Kevin’s family member) as an insult because they do not get along well.
Overall, home alone should definitely be on your Christmas movie watchlist! It was released on the 16th November 1990. The film duration is 103 min.
