A women in her mid twenties, Jess,  was crossing the busy road with her friend, Kathy(29), when suddenly 2 cars came at them both at full speed, her friend managed to get out of the way of the vehicles just in time but unfortunately Jess did not make it and was swept off of her feet.
"I just froze in disbelief, everything happened so fast, I was so distressed that i couldn't even dial 999," said the 29 year old, " A man, whose name is Kam, came to me and made the call for the ambulance, if that call hadn't been made as quickly as it was Jess wouldn't be alive today so I am very thankful that he helped us in our time of need," added Kathy.
Kam also made a call to the family of the victim, Jess, and her parents arrived at the scene shortly after in shock and panic. They wanted to see their daughter, but she was in a bad state and had to be taken to a hospital immediately.
"We weren't allowed to be with her in the ambulance, but the same man who had helped us so much throughout the night offered to drive us to the hospital at which she would be, he calmed my wife and I down and told us that we wouldn't lose her, we just had to have hope, and he was right," explained Jess's dad.
Jess is still in hospital recovering and suffered from bleeding to the brain, fractured ribs and has two broken legs. The men who put her in a hospital bed are yet to be found by police.
