A burglar struck at around 7pm of October 26th in the neighbourhood of Goodmayes when a family of five accidentally left their front door open. Many important valuables were embezzled from the property of the Khan family.

A devastated Mr. Khan says: “we were out for dinner for my daughter’s birthday and as we returned our front door was wide open.”

The CCTV cameras show that a man, draped in fully black clothes and a balaclava which covered his face, got out of a white van and headed straight to the slightly left open door.

The Khan’s recognised this van in which the burglar got out of and recalled that “the very same van has been parked near the house for over a week.”

The burglar knew when and when not the family went out and just happened to spot the unintentionally open door and he used it to his advantage.

Greif-stricken Mrs. Khan relayed that when she arrived back from the dinner she raced inside, in an extremely panicked state, in order to see what has actually happened while they were away.

The melancholy children of the Khan family said: “all our electronics have been stolen and all my expensive shoes and toys too.”

The khan family had suffered a very big loss and stuff that was irreplaceable was taken. All the rooms were either left really empty or either with clothes and other cheap items scattered everywhere.

The burglar is not yet been found but everyone is investigating and collecting clues and they say “that the culprit will be found and punished very soon”.
