Two burglars who robbed the home of a family of 3 in the early hours of October 9th have still not been found after they stole a number of electronics and other valubles from the family home.
"I was so shocked when I walked into my home and saw that the TV was not on the wall, I instantly knew that my home had been burgled," said Mr Rashid; the owner of the home. "I thought Seven Kings was a safe area to live in but now that this has happened I don't think so anymore." The family's TV, laptop and IPad had been taken and there safe, that held some money, gold and some important documents, had been broken into and everything from it had been taken. Tearful Mrs Rashid said, "I was so upset when i found out the gold had been taken, I was saving it for my daughter for when she got married."The family think of moving out of the area.
There has been a large increase in the amount of burglaries in Redbridge and all over London over the last year causing the Metropolitan to start a project called MetTrace that reduces burglary across London. The Met police will be providing homes with crime prevention advice and free SmartWater property-marking kits.
SmartWater is a yellow liquid that you put on items that you own so when they are stolen they can be traced and can be returned to your address following forensic analysis of SmartWater.
