Late Tates are a chance to experience the gallery during after hours, with a mix of art, music and film available to see.

The February Late Tate had celebrated women in art, and NTS radio had provided a mixtape featuring female artists. NTS radio had commented: ‘As many have rightly pointed out, 'female' is not a genre of music. There is a hugely diverse range of artists from all genders, ethnicities, sexualities and social backgrounds played on NTS Radio. The wealth of women musicians is overwhelming, so much so that we didn't know where to start. With that wealth in mind we thought we'd create two playlists. One is a more relaxed listen, looking back to some classic hits from female musicians of the last few decades, touching on reggae, new wave, hip hop and pop. The second, more high energy mix focuses on a tiny selection of the really exciting female musicians making contemporary club and experimental music today.’

The Late Tates are a great opportunity to delve into your more creative side, as there are multiple hands-on workshops where you can create your own piece of art, whilst enjoying the late evening views of the Southbank and taking advantage of the tasty food and drink offers.

Late Tates are on the last Friday of each month and entry is free, so bring your friends along and explore the depth of your creativity on the 31st Of March!
