Readers may have noticed the first snowfall reaching London more than three weeks ago, but local readers near Dalston would have sighted this wonder a little later on the evening 12th January.

At Haggerston station, salt has been used for since December in response to the ice weather conditions in London. The snow reaching the station did not remain for long, but spirits were high as residents took to the streets in glee.

One local resident by the station who wishes to remain anonymous says: ‘It’s always amazing when it snows in London because we don’t get much of it! Hopefully we’ll get more coming in February.’

Were readers also able to catch sight of the first snow fall?
