Recently, the two rivals from Airbus and Boeing have been battling each other in a neck and neck brawl. However, Boeing has sold 19 times more units than Airbus. Why?

Well… Firstly, the 787 is a whopping $100 million cheaper than the A350 which makes it more cost effective. It is widely used by carriers such as Air India, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Qatar Airways.

Secondly, the Boeing is much cheaper to operate as the fuel economy is much better. Which means that it consumes much fuel allowing airline companies to make a better profit.

Both aircrafts have interesting features such as mood lighting. However, passengers have said that they feel much fresher when travelling on board a 787. The ride quality of the 787 has been recommended over the A350. The leg room is approximately 10 cm more in the 787 allowing the passengers to stretch their legs and feel a lot more relaxed. The 787 has also been reviewed as a much quieter plane for long journeys.

According to a Skytrax (a leading airline awards company) survey, 787s are much more ambient and the cabin is said to be much calmer than that of the A350.

Also, the 787 has a higher cruising speed than that of its rival. This means that journey times become much shorter allowing the passengers to quickly reach their destinations.

Undoubtedly, the 787 is a better plane according to professionals in the industry. What do you think?
