Essex Police are requesting witnesses after a woman was threatened and robbed in Chelmsford on Thursday, 8th January near the Morrison’s store in the Newland’s Spring area. The man had reportedly held a knife at the victim’s throat and stole her purse.
Police are now on a manhunt for a man in his early thirties who is about 5ft 9in tall of slim build and stubble. He is said to have been wearing a puffed jacket with light brown fur as well as some white trainers.
Police also want to speak to a woman with a girl with blond hair who was walking down the alleyway at the same time as the victim.
The purse is said to be of a dark brown colour from Radley.
