As 2016 ends, it serves as a time to contemplate the past year and all the events that have occured.

From Trump to Brexit this year to some this year is a living hell, whilst others are in political paradise- regardless it has been a year where the under dog has risen. However, the flashing headlines that have plagued our screens have unfortunately taken the limelight off the news closer to home, in London.

This year has welcomed the first ethnic minority Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. With our new Mayor has come the night tube, which has paved the way for a new era of transport. Dubbed by many as a service only used by drunkards, one transport for London worker stated that those who use the service are, "as diverse as the city itself." Lena a midwife uses the night tube due to her late hours at work. She often finds herself getting home at half one in the morning.

As 2017 commences it is important to look to the future in earnest and draw strength from the ups and downs of the past year.
