Two teenagers - Reigan Knight and Liam Philips were killed due to a police pursuit in Southend. Whilst being chased by the police the boy's Ford Escort crashed into to a BMW early Tuesday morning.

Reigan Knight was killed at the scene of the crash, whilst Liam Philips, the second victim who was in critical condition died today in Southend hospital. 

Two other teenagers in the car have been arrested and placed in custody. The 16 year old believed to be driving the car was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death by driving without a license, causing death by driving without insurance and possession of class A drugs. The other was arrested on suspicion of possession of class C drugs. 

The incident is now a full police investigation as the police were chasing the four teenagers. The case has now been referred to the IPCC - Independent Police Complaints Commission.
