New Year New Me

January 1st. A new year has approached us. “New Year new me”, is this phrase really the truth?

Every year everybody decides what resolutions to make for the New Year. But… what happens? Usually we give up within the first week, it is proven that only 8% of people achieve New Year’s resolutions. What is the point in making New Year’s Resolution’s if people are just going to give up? Resilience is key, Keep to your goals for the upcoming year! Take small steps first in making a change, whether it be making your bed every day or saying hello to 5 people in a day. If we set ourselves smaller goals, then we can strive to achieve the bigger ones.

Setting yourself a highly ambitious can make your upcoming year more tough and hard to make that change straight away, do not make yourself miserable without chocolate, just cut down the amount you have! Some top tips on how to achieve a new year’s resolution are: brainstorm on how you can make that change, think of how you can do it first. Next, talk to your peer’s about your goals, with their help together you’re able to obtain your goals. After this, create schedule, choose the best day to start, do not put the day off, choose a day and stick to it. Finally, reward yourself! It is nice to have a treat once in a while.

Are New Year’s Resolutions Overrated? Some people believe, what is the point in making them, when you know you will not stick to them. Every year they want to eat healthy, but really all you want is a nice large bar of dairy milk. Gym Season has arrived, it is time to pump those irons, NO! All you want to do is be tucked up into bed. More people break them than finish them. Never leave a task unfinished.
