Christmas. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  If you wanted to have a cookie or just want a glass of champagne, Croydon High School’s annual Christmas Concert was enjoyable for all to experience. Whether it was cold outside or not, the festive spirit generated by the girls warmed the audience to the core. With incredible orchestral performances and cheerful choirs, the students of Croydon High School have, once again shown their enthusiasm for the arts through their festivity in anticipation for the upcoming season. This was an internal concert held in the school hall, and was a place for the younger performers to shine under the spotlight and showcase their talent.

Many were to thank for putting this night together, especially the main accompanist and behind-the-scene helper who made all of this possible: Miss Arakellion, who commented: “It was an excellent turnout: the whole concert was a highlight. From the heart-warming singing to the lively orchestras and the youngest of the performers (the Year fives worked really hard to perform with their newly practiced instruments!) the evening was outstanding.”

Classical music was performed such as pieces from Vivaldi and Beethoven. Christmas classics were obviously not missed either! And to polish off the night, a jolly performance of the ultimate 12 Days of Christmas, featuring the audience, was an unforgettable collaboration bringing everyone together.
