As students, we have all been there; that saddening moment of realisation that you're predicted grades, based on limited information, just weren't good enough. They weren't an accurate representation of your academic progress.

This hits hard especially when we're going through searching for colleges in year 11 and we need good enough predicted grades in order to get that offer. But more prominently, this makes a significant mark in our lives in year 13 when we're applying for Universities doing the best course you want to proceed further into.

But then it all goes wrong when you get that awaited e-mail of your current predicted grades sparkling thorough disappointment in you. Because not only is that place in your dream uni gone, your confidence towards your academic abilities also shatters.

However, in some rarities, this source of demotivation can be turned into a new purpose for inspiration - to prove yourself that you are indeed good enough and you do deserve that place you missed because of badly judged grades at the start of the year.

So, my point is that however terribly you're predicted grades are, take it as a source from where you can draw constant inspiration from. Even though they lead you to not the best sort of colleges or universities, you can't make your life depend on them as it is all down to you. You can do well enough in a terrible college; you will sit the same exams you would have if you were to attend that prestigious sixth form. And you can always go on clearance or even grant yourself a gap year if your predicted grades truly made you vulnerable and make you miss that place.
