The Meccano show certainly brought a mist of nostalgia to everyone who grew up bolting; of which this was experienced as soon you hit the front entrance. The delightful models surrounded your every look as you wondered through the innovative habitat of model construction, every child, and adult eager to pull out their creative hands to start building. Locals were astounded with everything they saw- from a steam engine train to a moving crane and even a jaw-dropping Ferris wheel.

Member of the Meccano club Richard Marston admits that although "bolting can be frustrating at times, it is definitely rewarding." Another member John Cowdery added: "Meccano is my passion and I am absolutely pleased with the outcome!" He further went on to say that "sometimes my wife gets annoyed with all the bolts everywhere" which is very understandable.

Santiago Plicio stated, "the club changed my life" followed by a compelling story of how his models were featured in the movie "Paddington" in which everyone was impressed by.

Missed out on this event? No worries, you can support the Meccano club by attending the event (which happens every year) in The Eltham United Reformed Church.
