As a massive Miranda Hart fan, when I heard she was starring in the West End production of Annie as Miss Hannigan , I just knew I had to get tickets. Luckily it came just in time for my 17th birthday and thankfully I got them!

The show was amazing, the young cast members really sang and danced their hearts out and pulled out every stop, including Sandy the dog! The dances were all immaculately choreographed, the songs beautifully sung and harmonised  and everyone put their all into their performances. Each character was very well cast and the show ran through so seamlessly it was a truly uplifting, humorous and just an overall enjoyable experience.

But of course the main reason I went was to see Miranda, and she did not disappoint! Throughout the whole show she made her role look effortless and even though I could hear the strain in her voice, she did not waiver once. I felt so privileged to see the show, but the fun did not end there. I even managed to meet her afterwords and got my programme signed! Definitely a birthday to remember.

I got in contact with Miranda herself for a quote about the show and she said “It was wonderful being part of a show that made children and adults alike feel free and hopeful and joyous at the end. Always moving” and I honestly could not agree more.

Even though Miranda is not in it anymore, if you get the opportunity to go please do. The show really has mastered the feel good-factor and I can guarantee you will leave happy because remember, you’re never fully dressed without a smile!
