Ealing Broadway is holding many events for the citizens of Ealing

Christmas is coming to town. On Thursday the 26th November Ealing Broadway Centre marked its 30th birthday and the start of the festive season. From live music and entertainment to a magical light show, Ealing had, in spectacular fashion, pulled it off this year. Locals thought that the night was “magical”. Ealing Street Dance Academy kicked off the yuletide revelries with an exceptional performance of well-known Christmas hits.

It’s all here until the 24th of December. Ealing Broadway, the heart of Ealing, will be brought to life by The Market, with stalls offering unique and unusual handmade gifts, decorations and food items – everything needed for a perfect Christmas celebration and to create a real Christmas buzz at the heart of the town. It’s the time to buy exclusive pieces of handcrafted jewellery for your loved one. Rachel has been a regular at The Market since 2012, taking care of the stall after her grandmother retired, and loves it. She and her family make and sell exquisite handmade jewellery, only at Christmas. For those who have a sweet tooth, tantalise your taste buds and enjoy an array of tasty treats including crepes, churros and waffles. If confectionery floats your boat, you won't fail to be impressed by the variety of sweets and chocolates on offer.

The transformation of the town centre amazes us as all. Standing at 8ft in height, the tree alone is enough to get any man, woman and (especially) child in the mood for Christmas. With the festive, wooden huts all around it bringing a magical feeling to Ealing. “It looks just like what I thought Santa’s Workshop would be like” local school girl Julia commented.

The assortment of sweets, toys and games available would make any child fall in love with The Market. Toddlers can take a ride in Santa’s Taxi for free every weekend until the 21st of December. For an authentic family Christmas children can grab an annual photo with the big man himself every weekend from 21 November – 21 December. If you want to give your Christmas a traditional feel, nothing says cosy like Ealing's Christmas Market.  With its gorgeous stalls and amazing activities for children, Ealing truly brings Christmas together.
