It’s that time of the year when the cold chills your nose red and the frost ices the tips of your fingers blue. Wrapped up warm from head to toe, but never warm enough and evidently as this is Britain, regretting not bringing an umbrella is always a given. Impatiently waiting for the shadowed skies to light up faces with fluorescent colours and relief from the winter through a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

With your attendance to The Chislehurst Rotary Fireworks, you will have the pleasure of experiencing all of this and more while being enveloped in the company of friends and family. The purpose of this event is to honour the annual Bonfire Night and it will be hosted on Saturday, the 7th of November 2015 at the Chislehurst Recreation Ground, gates opening promptly at 6pm. Entrance tickets for Adults will be selling at £6, for Children 4-14 years of age, £3 and for a Family of 2 adults and 2 children, at £15 on the day.

You will have the opportunity of witnessing musical and theatre performances from young students, presenting from the Glenlyn Dance Academy at 6:30pm to 7pm, which will be followed by a spectacular Fireworks display at 7.30pm. In order to make this evening entertaining for everyone, there will also be a fun fair for 12 year olds and under to enjoy, a warming hog roast and stalls scattered with various refreshments from, all of which are available throughout the whole evening from 6pm till 9:30pm.

Every penny raised at this event will be going towards foundations in the Chislehurst community. The Rotary has demonstrated that it is a charitable organisation, which profits to a good cause by raising money in the past, and donating to local charities such as Bromley Mind, NSPCC, Carers Bromley, as well as managing events for both young and elderly citizens in the borough.

The help and contributions of everyone involved are sincerely appreciated and on behalf of all those that will now benefit, please accept my thanks.’ Quoted from Hilary Sheppard, President of the Rotary Club of Chislehurst 2015/2016.

I hope you take the time to attend to this event and enjoy a very colourful Bonfire Night!
