The story of an orphan who was captured and brought to another world, who finds his destiny to save the lost boys and the natives on the island. Warner Bros. created a magical backstory to the original story of Peter Pan.

Peter was left on the doorstep to an orphanage by his mother Mary. During the World War 2, after many years, Peter finds a letter from his mother about her love for him and that they will meet “in this world, or another”.

Joe Wright has brought a Disney inspired, wondrous movie back onto the big screen. The movie Pan was phenomenal when it was released on 13th October 2015.

Pan stars: Levi Miller as Peter Pan, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Amanda Seyfried as the mother, Garrett Hedlund as James Hook and Cara Delevingne as the mermaids.

Though parts were unrealistic, it added mystery to the magical realm beyond space and time called Neverland. It has an intangible “it” factor and has original ideas in comparison to the actual story.

As a few criticisms of the film, Andrew Barker of Variety magazine (after praising the movie for its achievements) said that Pan exchanges “puckish mischief and innocence for doses of steampunk design…” Though this may be true, the design fits in well with the plot of the movie and helps the movie be more fascinating and original.

This is a must see movie of the year, even though it deviates from the original screen play, it engages you in mind and body and raises thought provoking questions.
