Firefighters attempt to tackle the blazing car

A WOMAN escaped from her burning car just seconds before it was reduced to ashes in the High Road, Woodford Green.

The car had reportedly been involved in a crash with two other vehicles before bursting into flames on Sunday (April 27).

A passing ambulance crew stopped and sealed off the road calling other emergency services.

The woman and a number of other people were taken to Whipps Cross Hospital by ambulance.
