WALTHAM ABBEY: Motorcyclist fractures pelvis in crash
A WOMAN motorcyclist sustained serious injuries - including a fractured pelvis - when her bike was in collision with a Jeep Cherokee in Waltham Abbey last night.
The 24-year-old woman, from Waltham Abbey, who was riding a blue and black Suzuki GSXR600 motorbike, was involved in the accident with a silver Jeep on Honey Lane, at the junction with Shernbroke Road, shortly after 9pm.
The driver of the Jeep, a 26-year-old man from North Weald, was uninjured. The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, in Harlow, with serious arm and pelvic injuries.
Sections of both roads were closed for five hours while police dealt with the incident and the debris was cleared.
