Police hunt alleged arsonist who skipped court
The Surbiton man accused of setting fire to a train seat just feet from a child's pushchair is being hunted by police after he failed to turn up at court.
Carlos Manuel DeSousa Serrano, 21, did not attend Southwark crown court on May 7 to face a charge of arson with intent to endanger life.
The incident allegedly happen on a South West Trains Waterloo to Woking service on May 2 last year.
Mr DeSousa Serrano was given conditional bail after appearing at Westminster magistrates court on March 4 which barred him from travelling on a train in the UK.
Anyone with information on Mr DeSousa Serrano's whereabouts should call the British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.
