St. Albans
FIRE crews battled a house blaze in Radlett this morning.
The two residents, who live in Charwood Close, Shenley, escaped unhurt from the fire that began in their utility room at around 7.30am.
At first the couple tried to tackle the fire themselves after being woken by their fire alarm, but it was finally put out by a St Albans fire crew and a Borehamwood fire crew.
The accidental fire is thought to have started by a electrical transformer over heating.
The utility room was badly smoke damaged.
So was it in Radlett or Shenley?
