Missing pensioner found

A VULNERABLE pensioner who went missing in Harpenden on Friday has been found safe and well.

Tim Jones, 68, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, was found in the car park of the Royal British Legion, in Leyton Road, on Saturday evening.

Police have not said where he spent the night but confirmed he had sustained minor injuries after a fall.

This morning he was receiving treatment at Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

why did there need to be so much police involvement and 4 police helicopters? there must have been something else to do with him because sending up 4 police helicopters must of cost thousands of pounds

I presume Ollie has not read the story correctly - it quite clearly states this man has Parkinsons. Perhaps Ollie is merely ignorant as to what that means.
Hopefully Ollie has been lucky enough not to encounter this disease with any of his loved ones. Otherwise, one presumes he would understand that leaving a Parkinsons sufferer out on their own for over 24 hours could potentially be very dangerous for them. Ollie, I am sure the family appreciate your constructive comments.
