White weekend gets Streatham families sledging in the snow

Families enjoyed a white weekend as snow fell across Lambeth’s parks.
Children dusted off their toboggans for some impromptu sledging on Streatham Common while one sheep dog seemed to enjoy his brisk walk through the idyllic winter scene.
On Tuesday, a spokesman for the Met Office predicted further snowfall would hit south London over the coming weekend.
He said temperatures in the UK could reach as low as -13C – the coldest thermometer readings since December 2010.
