Future Olympians are being encouraged to take advantage of discounted sporting activities this summer.
Using a free Richmond leisure and youth card, youngsters can get a 10 per cent discount on all courses and classes at any of the borough’s seven sport centres.
Many Olympic sports are on offer with swimming, tennis and basketball sessions available for £1.
Councillor Pamela Fleming, strategic cabinet member for community, business and culture at Richmond Council, said: “There’s something for everyone and with the Olympics on our doorstep there’s no
better time to get active.”
Anyone aged 19 or under, or up to 25 with a disability, can sign up for the card.
Applicants must either live, work, go to school or be registered at a youth club within the borough.
