These musical maestros were all smiles this week after winning a top accolade.
Pupils at Hampton Hill Junior School, in St James’s Avenue, were awarded Sing Up’s platinum award.
Only a few schools reach this level of excellence in music, which will see the children take part in outreach work both in the area and across the country. Pupils needed to show they had enjoyed singing over a period of time.
They also experienced a diverse range of high quality opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
Staff championed and joined in with singing as a key part of school life, judges said.
