A CYCLIST was allegedly assaulted by a motorist on a busy road in the East Riding.
The incident happened at 9.50am on Wednesday. April 3, on Warter Road, a single track road at Middleton-on-the-Wolds, near Driffield.
The 49-year-old North Cave man was cycling along the road with a friend when a queue of traffic began to form behind them. It is alleged the driver of a blue Vauxhall Vivaro van got out of his vehicle and ran at the bike rider, shouting and swearing, and pushed him on to the grass verge.
Witnesses are asked to phone Humberside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
