Police have released an urgent appeal for information after a prisoner who stabbed another man to death escaped from a mental health clinic.
Hounslow police urged members of the public not to approach Fida Mohammed Utmanzi, 20, who was last seen wearing black addidas trousers with white stripes on the sides, a navy blue hooded top and grey trainers.
He is 6ft 1in, thin, with short black hair, and has cigarette burns on his arms.
Utmanzi, who was born in Afghanistan, absconded from a medical facility in Edmonton on Monday, March 8.
Hounslow police have appealed for information because of the large Afghan community in the borough.
Utmanzi was detained indefinitely under the mental health act after being convicted at the Old Bailey on January 8 of the manslaughter of Rasool Khan.
He stabbed the victim to death in West Green Road, north London, on March 3 last year.
Anyone with information should call detectives on 07717 483332.
