An Osterley sports club has been showing its cheeky side by stripping off for charity.
Following the success of their charity calendar in 2006, Grasshoppers netball club decided it was time to do it again – but this time they roped in the men from the rugby club for added moral support.
In October the teams descended on Ealing Studios for a photo shoot for the calendar, which will raise money for three charities.
The netball players loved every second of the shoot, from getting their make-up done to dressing up and posing in front of the camera.
The men from the rugby club were less sure about their role as they had to get their kit off and pose naked.
Kirsty Smith, one of the organisers, said: “As a teacher, when else would I ever have three gorgeous naked men at my feet, get my hair and make up done, and do my little bit for charity – I loved it.”
The charity calendar will be supporting West Middlesex Hospital’s Stork Appeal, which is raising money towards maternity care and facilities at the trust, the Wooden Spoon charity which helps mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children and young people and the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton.
Grasshoppers also hope to use some of the money raised to buy new equipment and support the junior sections of the club.
