Police move to reassure residents after spate of vandalism in Colliers Wood

Four boys were arrested after a spate of antisocial behaviour and car vandalism in Colliers Wood.

The four were released on bail and Colliers Wood safer neighbourhood team has assured residents it was an isolated and “out of character” incident for the ward.

The team is appealing to residents to call police immediately if they witness any suspicious behaviour, as several reports of the vandalism were made only after the crimes were committed.

A reassurance bus will be visiting Bygrove Road at the junction with Denison Road on Wednesday July 1, between 6pm and 8pm. Here residents will be able to meet the team and discuss any of their concerns with them.

Free bike marking and crime prevention advice will also be on offer.
