Man stabs himself as police try to arrest him in Sutton

A man stabbed himself with a knife as police officers tried to arrest him yesterday evening.
Sutton officers, supported by the Territorial Support Group (TSG), attempted to arrest the man at an address in Windsor Avenue, Sutton, just before 9pm.
Officers Tasered the man once to prevent him causing any more injury.
He was taken to a south London hospital where his condition is described as stable.
The man, in his 50s, has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and assault.
