Sutton police hunt two men after attempted Cheam jewellery shop raid
Police are hunting for two men after an attempted raid on a Cheam jewellers on Saturday.
A police spokesman said two men armed with a large tool or implement tried unsuccessfully to smash the glass window of John F Ford Jewellers, High Street three times.
The men are believed to have left the scene in a small black car.
Both suspects were described as black men, aged 18-25, and wearing caps under dark hoodies.
They both had dark trousers.
Sutton detectives are investigating the raid, which happened shortly after 11.30am.
