Detectives have made an arrest in connection with an alleged racist incident filmed on a train.
British Transport Police arrested a 25-year-old man, from South Norwood, on suspicion of committing a racially-aggravated public order offence.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries until March 8.
It is alleged he was racially abusive towards passengers on the 21.55 London Bridge to Hayes Southeastern service on February 1.
A 29-year-old British-born Kashmiri woman, from West Wickham, caught the incident on camera and the video was passed on to detectives.
Detective Sergeant Tony Burman, of British Transport Police (BTP) said: "We were made aware of the video last week and are continuing to follow a number of avenues of enquiry.
"As part of our investigation, a 25-year-old man from South Norwood was arrested in connection with the incident on Wednesday, 8 February.
"He was arrested on suspicion of committing a racially-aggravated public order offence and has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, until Thursday, 8 March 2012.
"We’re still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what took place. BTP treats any allegations of racism on the rail network with the utmost seriousness and if you have any information that could help our investigation, please get in touch."
