Croydon office worker competing to become Miss England

A Croydon beauty is in the running to be the next Miss England.
Elisha Ricketts, 22, is just one step away from being in the semi-finals of the competition. She is competing against 30 other contestants.
The office temp said her dream is to win the competition and campaign against gun and knife crime.
She said: “I'd like to help with the problems in my area – gun and knife crime. I would like to help the organisations that are dedicated to that kind of thing.
“Let's put some positivity and hope back into the community and be proud of where we're from.”
She heard about the competition from a friend and decided to enter.
She said: “Winning would be amazing.
“This isn't just a beauty contest for me, this is a chance for my voice to be heard. It would mean so much to have the support from people voting for me.”
