'Murdered' Thamesmead pensioner still unidentified 'Murdered' Thamesmead pensioner still unidentified

POLICE are still trying to formally identify the body of an elderly woman found at an address in Thamesmead.

The 76-year-old was pronounced dead in a house in New Acres Road at around 6.25pm on Sunday (June 22).

They are still trying to trace her next of kin.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Greenwich mortuary this afternoon.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
