A LAW centre expects to see its fight for a judicial review over funding cuts return to the courts next month.
Greenwich Community Law Centre had its funding wiped out by Greenwich Council last year in the local authority’s shake-up of legal service funding.
The centre, based in Trafalgar Road, had been in existence for 27 years, but warned it could not carry on without its £196,000 grant.
A previous attempt for a judicial review of the council’s decision was turned down at the High Court by presiding judge Ross Cranston last year.
But a ruling at the Court of Appeal this week means staff at the centre can go for a fresh hearing, expected to take place in March.
