ANYONE hoping for a snow day today is set to be disappointed as public transport is running this morning (February 6).
Southeastern says it is running a good service on most lines with minor disruptions on services running through north Kent and Bromley to London Bridge, Cannon Street and Victoria.
But train faults, delays on previous journeys and poor weather conditions earlier are all listed on the company’s website as reasons why there are disruptions to some rush hour services.
And some trains including the 8.25 London Victoria to Orpington, the 9.10 Orpington to London Victoria and the 9.32 Gravesend to London Charing Cross will be made up of half the number of coaches normally used, so there will be four instead of eight.
Southern says it is running a normal full weekday timetable but it says there may be some delays due to icy conditions across its network.
And, as with Southeastern, it says some of the trains may be shorter than normal and warns people to take care when travelling and allow extra time for journeys.

I have to say, I was impressed this morning, roads generally gritted and clear, trains running pretty much on time - well done! We're all quick enough to knock them when they get it wrong, so thought at least someone should congratulate them on doing what they should every time.
