SIX people have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in Downham.
Police were called to Sandpit Road, at around 11.40pm on Saturday (June 27) after reports of a fight.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering from a stab wound.
According to the police, he is still in hospital and in a stable condition.
Three teenage boys, aged 15, 16, and 17, two men, aged 18 and 24, and one girl, aged 17, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Baljit Bains from Lewisham CID, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing for anyone who has information about this incident to come forward and contact police.
“Sandpit Road is a quiet road and a disturbance of this nature would have been noticed - did you hear of see anything at around 11:30pm?
“Did you notice a large group of people gathering in the street or see any of the altercation?”
