CHISLEHURST: Swollen finger spells end for wedding ring

A DESPERATE husband was forced to call the emergency services this morning (March 10) after his wedding ring got stuck on his finger.

Firefighters from Bromley fire station were called to the man’s home in Holmbury Park, Chislehurst, at around 6.30am.

It is understood his wife had asked him to try on his wedding ring again after a period of not wearing the gold and platinum band but it immediately became stuck.

The ring was so tight that the man’s finger became swollen and so firefighters spent 15 minutes using specialist ring cutting equipment to remove the piece of jewellery.

The man did not require hospital treatment after his ordeal.

Good job there were no house fires at the time....could you imagine...."sorry sir, madam, we cant rescue you because some pr*t has got a wedding ring stuck on his finger." Next time he should try using a bit of washing up liquid/grease and stop wasting our heroes time and resources.

What a time waster. This happened to me and I took myself up to the hospital and they cut it off for me, my finger was purple, and swollen, and I had gone past the numb feeling and was in a lot of pain but I sat and waited my turn. Can't believe the fire brigade actually came out to him.

Something strange about this one! Any truth to the rumour that the wedding ring was actually jammed on his john thomas?!!!
